Born and raised on the north side of Chicago by Ford and Candy. Yes, those are their real names and no, I'm not making them up. I have an older sister named Nicole, but I call her Nick. Nick is happily married to Davey G and has a son named Big Game James (aka Big Baby James, BBJ, James, etc). I'm the Cool Uncle. Although Chicago was good to me for 23 years, I now call Los Angeles home. What can I say, I prefer nice weather. I enjoyed sports so much as a child, I have decided to make a career at coaching youth sports. I am a PE teacher....who am I kidding, I'm a gym teacher....and I love my job.
I feel like I could say so much about myself, but that seems a bit egotistical (which I've been accused of being on numerous occasions). Honestly, chances are if you are actually reading this right now, you are probably a friend or relative anyway. Therefore, you already know a lot about me. But since you have already read this much, I am going to use this time to speak to you about a very important issue....a baby's right to wear shoes.
I purchased my nephew his first pair of Air Jordan basketball shoes for his Christening. My sister "claims" they were too big. Apparently she would rather him walk around barefoot risking splinters and shards of glass rather than having him wear a sweet pair of new Jordan's gifted to him by the Cool Uncle. In order to prove her wrong, I refer you to Exhibits A and B below.
.
Exhibit A - Visually upset baby and man without shoes Exhibit B - Very happy baby and man. Baby wearing new Jordan shoes
As you can see in the two pictures above, the baby (Big Game James) is clearly much happier while wearing his brand new Air Jordan shoes. However, his evil mother Nick, only allowed him to wear these shoes once or twice before he outgrew them. The facts are there...babies need to wear their new shoes early and often, especially if they are amazing and gifted from the Cool Uncle. I rest my case....
